Leading slot machine developer Net Entertainment announced last week that they have secured the rights to produce a South Park-themed slot machine.
South Park has been one of the most popular animated sit-coms since it was first released in 1997, with over fifteen seasons and 237 episodes produced.
The television program has an extremely loyal cult-following and Net Entertainment is expecting the game to be an instant hit particularly among the young-adult demographic.
The game was announced by Net Entertainment at the ICE Totally Gaming conference at ExCel London as their leading game of the year.
The company has had a great deal of success announcing games at the conference with their 2012 hit based on the movie Scarface and their 2011 released Frankenstein also released at the event.
Per Eriksson, President and CEO of Net Entertainment said his company was delighted to have acquired the license to produce the slot machine game.
“South Park has a cult following around the world and we are truly proud to bring it to the gaming market,” Eriksson said.
“We have had some great success with branded games in the past, like Frankenstein and Scarface, and our focus on quality and innovation means we always deliver the very best gaming experience for players.
“South Park is our biggest game yet and we are tremendously excited about its potential.”
Net Entertainment was founded in 1996 and has been one of the pioneers in the online gambling industry.
The company prides itself on producing the best and most exciting games with their Scarface, Frankenstein and Jack Hammer online slots receiving rave reviews by both players and operators at online casinos.
The South Park themed slot is expected to be released by the end of the year and will be sought after by both online and land-based casinos.
